One day as I tried to read my morning newspaper, I realized something. Either I needed longer arms or reading glasses. I thought of my options. Much to my dismay, supermarket and drugstore readers were the only solution that came to mind. Yikes! What next? Thinning hair, more wrinkles, and then a long slide into the final frontier? I decided I wouldn’t go without a fight. It would be a fight for the right to look good, and bring small print back into focus at the same time. It would be my contribution to a legion of people like myself, who have just baby boomed their grand entrance into the 21st century.

A short while later, an idea was born, and it became Design Line Readers.

I have spent many years in the sunglass business, designing stylish shades for every taste. Design Line has been an adventure into somewhat familiar territory. My first collection was the vibrantly colorful Mardi Gras, and then the sky became the limit. That was sometime in 2002, and now, many collections later, we have developed a wonderful range of fashion readers that will please the most discriminating eyes. We have pretty; we have practical.
